Supporting one person means strengthening an entire network.
At Nahrain Consulting & Advocacy, we believe lasting success happens when every member of the care team is working toward the same goal. Participants, guardians, families, Independent Providers, provider agencies, service coordinators, healthcare professionals, employers, educators, and community organizations all play an important role in helping a person build a meaningful, independent life.
Our role is to strengthen those connections.
We help bridge communication, encourage collaboration, reduce barriers, and empower every member of the care team to work together in support of the participant. We believe person-centered care isn't just about writing those words into a plan—it's about ensuring every decision, every conversation, and every service reflects what is truly in the participant's best interest.
Everything we do begins with one simple question:
"Is this in the participant's best interest?"
That question guides every recommendation we make.
We are independent advocates. We do not represent the State, provider agencies, or any organization whose priorities may differ from the participant's goals. Our responsibility is to advocate for the participant while recognizing guardians and families as essential partners in representing their loved one's voice and protecting their rights.
Advocacy isn't about creating conflict or working against the system. It's about understanding the system well enough to navigate it effectively.
Nebraska's HCBS system is complex. Regulations, waiver services, funding options, assessments, budgets, service authorizations, and person-centered planning involve thousands of pages of policy and guidance. Even experienced professionals may not know every regulation or every option available in every situation.
We help participants, guardians, families, and self-advocates understand their rights, responsibilities, and available opportunities so they can make informed decisions with confidence. We believe knowledge should never be a barrier to receiving quality supports.
Our approach is built on partnership, education, and practical solutions. We work alongside participants and the people who support them to strengthen communication, improve collaboration, and create sustainable systems that continue to work long after our consultation ends.
Because when every member of the village is working together, the participant has the greatest opportunity to thrive.
